A caravan VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) number, also referred to as; serial number, CRiS number and chassis number is a 17 digit code that is and has been given to each and every caravan made in the UK (and some of Europe) since 1992. The VIN number is unique to each caravan and is used by CRiS to keep a track of who owns what caravan. The number given to the caravan is etched on the corner of each window
here are a few places you could look:
1: On your CRiS certificate. on the top right hand corner of your certificate you should see a long 17 digit number starting with "SG"
2: On your VIN plate. The VIN plate is usually located next to the bottom of either corner of the entrance door to your caravan, if it is not here then there should be one on the chassis under the body or on the a-frame. Again, you are looking for a 17 digit number starting "SG"
3: Etched on the corner of your windows
The VIN is stamped (normally) on the LH side chassis rail.
